Kettering Driving Test Routes - 9

1. Drive out of the Driving Test Centre and turn left. At the T junction turn right onto Orion Way. The road bends to the left continuing on Orion Way. 2. The road bends to the right continuing on Orion Way. At the McDonald’s roundabout follow the road ahead taking the 2nd exit. 3. At the Tesco roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A509. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit following the road ahead. 4 & 5. At the big roundabout take the 5th exit onto the A14 towards The MIDLANDS. join the A14. 6 & 7.Take the next exit A6013 Kettering (W). 8. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit to the right signposted A6013 Kettering (W).
9. At the roundabout follow the road ahead taking the 2nd exit. The candidate was in the right lane which was incorrect and she went round again to get into the correct lane, which was the correct thing to do. 10,11,12. Turn left into Westhill Drive, pull over on the left. 13. At the end of the road turn left onto Gipsy Lane B5323. Turn right onto Windermere Road. 15. Pull over on the left 16. Do an Emergency Stop.
17. Pull over on the left, drive on again. 18. At the end of the road turn left onto Bowhill. 19. At end of road turn left onto Northampton Road A6013. 20. Go under bridge. At roundabout take the 1st exit onto A6003 Northfield Avenue signposted All routes. Go past Morrison's Petrol Station on your left. 21. At mini roundabout follow the road ahead. 22. At roundabout go into the right lane 23. taking the 3rd exit onto the A4300 Lower Street. 24. Stay in the left lane, go past Texaco Petrol Station on your left. 25.
26. Go into left lane to turn left (Sainsbury's is on the left), turn left onto 27. Rockingham Road A6003 28. At the roundabout approach in the right lane to take the 29. 2nd exit continuing on the A6003. 30. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit following the road ahead. Move into the left lane to take the first exit to the left onto the A43. 31, 32, 33. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A14 towards the left.
34. Enter the A14, it has its own lane. Drive past the exit for the A43. 35. The lorry was undertaken, I don't know if this was because of nerves as the examiner did not really talk. An examiner did say to me in the past that they don't know whether to talk or not. There needs to be this option on the online form whether the candidate wants the examiner to talk or not. Pass the Services exit. 36. Enter the slip road for the Kettering Business Park South exit. 37. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A509. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit following the road ahead on the A509. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Orion Way. 38. At the McDonald's roundabout take the 2nd exit continuing on Orion Way. 39. Turn left and then right into the Kettering Driving Test Centre.
