Article text
How to pop the bonnet, how to add the screen wash, coolant and not to open it when the engine has just been running because it will be hot.

You check the oil level on the dipstick when the engine has settled.

You check the brake fluid and if it goes down then you need to see a mechanic to check for leaks.

The tyres should have no cuts or bulges and the minimum tread depth is 1.6 mm over the middle three quarters or 75% of the width of the tyre.

You check the brake lights by getting an assistant to press the brake pedal and watching the brake lights come on, you may be able to do this with a light coloured wall or window.
