I started as a driving instructor in 2004. Although I have had a break since starting.

This is a clip to help prepare us both before you start:

In addition to the basic essential qualifications as required by the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) to teach people to drive I have the following further qualifications:

March 2020: DVSA Special Test (Bronze) - this is the toughest civilian driving test in the country, unfortunately it is only open to fully qualified driving instructors, this helps me to understand what learners go through when they take their driving test, so I can empathise. It also makes sure my own driving is to a high standard so that I can pass this onto my customers.

December 2019: City & Guilds Level 3 – Award in Education and Training (adult classroom teaching qualification) - this helps to utilise different teaching methods to help people understand driving.

July 2019: DIAmond Advanced Driving Test - this helps me to understand what learners go through when they take their driving test, so I can empathise. It also makes sure my own driving is to a high standard so that I can pass this onto my customers.

May 2018: BTEC Level 4: Professional Award in Coaching for Driver Development.

The BTEC Level 4 is the equivalent to the first year at University.

This helps customers to become thinking drivers preparing them for a lifetime of safe driving.

The 4 to 5 months after you pass your test are the riskiest and being a thinking driver will reduce this risk.

I proof read the Driving Textbook "1771", you can buy this book off me.

Below is my Approved Driving Instructor badge.

The reference number "279485" you will need if you are having lessons with me to book your practical driving test online.

It is a good idea to have regular assessments of your driving skills, DIAmond recommend every 3 years.
